INTRODUCTION
Tathagata Meditation: [2] The main purpose of meditation is to allow one’s mind to become perfectly still and empty. Once the mind is perfectly still, (Buddhist) intelligence is developed, and the body-mind becomes harmonious with and assimilated into the Universe. Each meditator should control his or her meditation session; Prayer should not be mixed into meditation sessions, as this will reduce the value of the meditation sessions.
As far as Tathagata Meditation is concerned, only The Great Sun Tathagata Buddha can preside it completely.[3] The other incarnations such as Lord Supreme Maitreya Buddha still follow the principle to guide the Tathagata Meditation subject. The Lord used the appropriate time procedure to guide the Bodhisattva to practice the conduct and establish the subject, leading the Bodhisattva to acquire the One-Essence Tathagata Meditation. Only then is this meditation the right Tathagata Meditation. In other words, if the meditation practitioner’s master is not a Buddha, it is very hard for the practitioner to acquire the true Tathagata Meditation.
Even if a practitioner has obtained meditation intelligence and enlightened intelligence, he or she is still not liberated from the use. Why? This is because meditation intelligence is still the meditation’s use, and enlightened intelligence is not outside of the enlightenment’s use. Therefore, should practice by forgetting individual ego—that is, leaving the use without holding without obtaining. Acquiring the Dharma of non-attainment and non-use is absorbing and integrating thousands and thousands of intelligences, which leads to having what is called Prajñā Intelligence, being clearly aware of every seed of intelligence without omission, acquiring the Most Practical Intelligence Seed, and being completely liberated from the use — reaching the unwavering mind of worship, the becoming Buddha.
